Project overview
Clay is a Dubai-based luxury home and lighting retailer carrying the European design canon - Hay, Gubi, Tom Dixon, Flos, Ferm Living, Carl Hansen, Ethnicraft and more. We designed and built their e-commerce store on WooCommerce, wired Stripe for payments, layered in GSAP-driven motion across the browse experience, and shipped a rigorous on-page SEO setup that landed strong rankings on the UAE market within the first year.

Clay - Dubai E-commerce Store process
The challenge
Clay was bringing a curated selection of European design houses to Dubai and needed an e-commerce platform that would do the brands justice - visually, technically and commercially. The store had to feel editorial and slow on the eye while staying fast in practice, support a complex catalogue across furniture, lighting and accessories, and rank on a UAE market where home and design searches are highly contested.
Our solution
We built the store on WooCommerce, wired Stripe for payments, and layered an ultra-modern visual system on top - GSAP-driven animations across the browse and product pages giving Clay an identity closer to a brand showroom than a standard catalogue e-shop. On the SEO side, we shipped a rigorous on-page setup : clean URL structure, brand and category taxonomy, fast page delivery and content scaffolding - engineered to compound over the first year on the UAE market.
The result
Clay launched with a store that reads premium from the first scroll, holds its own next to international references in the home and lighting space, and reached strong organic rankings on the UAE market within the first year of operation - turning the on-page SEO investment into a steady acquisition channel alongside the brand's own audience work.
